We collect information you provide and information generated as you use the app:

• Account information — name, email address, and password used to create your account.
• Profile information — sobriety date, PAR start date, role, and preferences you set.
• Journal entries — morning and evening reflections you write.
• Intake survey responses — your recovery background and goals.
• Community content — posts, comments, and testimonies you share.
• Mentor and battle buddy messages — notes exchanged with your assigned mentor.
• Health and wellness data — Climb Higher entries, check-ins, and wellness rhythms.
• Usage data — features you use and approximate interaction patterns.
• Device information — device type, operating system, and app version.
• Crisis support records — any crisis-related requests you submit.

We use your information to:

• Provide the service — daily devotionals, journaling, prayer tools, and studies.
• Connect you with your mentor or battle buddy and schedule meetings.
• Improve and personalize the service and its content.
• Ensure safety, including responding to crisis support requests.
• Communicate with you about your account and important updates.
• Meet legal, regulatory, and platform obligations.

We share your information only as described here:

• With your mentor — only the entries and notes you choose to share.
• With admins — for safety, account management, and platform integrity.
• With Base44 — our platform provider that hosts and processes app data.
• For legal compliance — when required by law or to protect someone’s safety.

Your journal entries are PRIVATE BY DEFAULT. Nothing you write is shared with a mentor unless you explicitly turn on “Share with mentor” for that entry.

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards:

• HTTPS / TLS encryption for data in transit.
• Row-level security so each user can only access their own records.
• Mentor access is limited to participants assigned to them.
• Admin access is restricted to authorized administrators.

We retain your information while your account is active. You can delete individual journal entries, check-ins, and other content at any time, and you can request full account deletion from your Profile. When your account is deleted, your personal data is removed from the service.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Edit your profile and account details.
• Delete individual entries and content.
• Request deletion of your entire account.
• Control your privacy settings, including what is shared with your mentor.
• Opt out of optional features at any time.

PAR is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Recovery and wellness information is sensitive. We treat it with the highest level of protection available in the app:

• It is never shared with insurance companies or employers.
• It is never used for advertising.
• It receives the highest protection level in our access controls.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where significant, notify you in the app.
